Like many artists, Chandy Haggett is attracted to the colours, aromas and tempo of life in Andaluci. She is now considered to be one of the most innovative artists living on the Costa del Sol.
Having fallen in love with Spain on a previous trip, Chandy decided to move there and soon got addicted to the mystical spell of Andalucia.
She spent the following years developing and building her unique style, and her reputation. She has now sold her work worldwide and exhibited in France, England, Spain, Gibraltar and Canada, also having her silk screen prints on display at The Medici Gallery in London.
In 2014, Chandy became Head of the Hand Silk Screen Printing Department at the Marbella Design Academy where she also taught free hand drawing. She has had many of her cartoons published in an English newspaper. The past few years has seen her become a member of the association of creadores and part of the Residents Gallery at the Artsenal project in Malaga.
Chandy works entirely from feelings and imagination, never using photography or real life for reference.
