A Storm Over Potter’s Marsh
"This piece was painted on location at Potters Marsh, a wildlife refuge on the Cook Inlet outside of Anchorage, Alaska. The summer I painted this piece, a wild fire was burning down the coast and approaching Anchorage. In this painting I captured the black smoke rising up to mix with the storm clouds." - Deirdre West
